INFRA- RED SPECTROSCOPY - 2007 LEAD ARTICLE OF THE YEAR

An article with an overview of the infrared (IR) spectroscopy methods developed and applied by Keith Shepherd, Markus Walsh is the lead article for the year in the 2007 volume of Journal of Near Infrared Spectroscopy.
The article describes how IR spectroscopy can enable an evidence-based diagnostic surveillance approach to agricultural and environmental management in developing countries. It also reviews the many applications of the technology in agriculture and environment. It goes on to describe a vision of how IR could be implemented in a diagnostic surveillance framework in developing countries over the next ten years, including challenges and constraints. Read more.
